Welcome to the 30th Annual Allie Awards
While pearls do not take 30 years to form, the longer they’re allowed to grow and develop, the more amazing they become! That’s why they are the traditional symbol for the 30th Anniversary!
Join us as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Allie Awards at Zoo Atlanta’s Michael and Thalia Carlos Ballroom in Savanna Hall – a night full of rich tradition and honoring today’s amazing event professionals.
Atlanta’s newest event destination merges the majesty of the African savanna and its iconic wildlife with the storied elegance of one of the city’s most historic buildings. Just moments from Downtown, Zoo Atlanta’s newest venue is nestled in the heart of Grant Park, Atlanta’s oldest parkland and one of the metro area’s most popular and progressive communities.
Atlanta’s newest event destination merges the majesty of the African savanna and its iconic wildlife with the storied elegance of one of the city’s most treasured historic buildings. Just moments from Downtown, the newest addition to Zoo Atlanta is settled in the heart of Grant Park, Atlanta’s oldest parkland and one of the metro area’s most popular and progressive communities.
- Built in 1921 and revitalized by Zoo Atlanta for its new life today, Savanna Hall was the home of the Atlanta Cyclorama for more than 90 years. The building is famous for its grand scale and neoclassical architecture.
- Reimagined as a magnificent gathering place featuring more than 25,000 square feet of event spaces, Savanna Hall still retains many notes of its past, including its famed historic façade; delicately restored, original interior terra cotta brick walls; and restored original light fixtures on its front terraces.
- Savanna Hall is suited to functions of all shapes, sizes, occasions and moods, including corporate events, galas, weddings, rehearsal dinners, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, meetings and much more.
In The Beginning
The inaugural Allie Awards was held in 1991 to an audience of 185 event professionals from the Greater Atlanta area. The event was held during a broadcast of the annual Academy Awards, with Allie awards presented during commercial breaks. That year there were few categories. Each year since, new awards have been added to acknowledge and recognize the growth and depth of Georgia’s live events industry.
Over the course of the last 29 years, the Allie Awards has grown into the premiere recognition event for the live events industry – recognizing outstanding examples of quality work and creativity from event professionals throughout the State of Georgia and the Southeastern United States. This annual event demonstrates how working together for the common good of the industry promotes excellence in design, planning, and production. The Allie Awards program remains a model for industry award programs across the country.
Allie Awards Inc. is a Certified 501(c)(3) Public Charity supported by a volunteer Board of Directors. Proceeds from the annual event goes toward scholarships established for Georgia’s rising stars participating in collegiate level hospitality programs.
We look forward to celebrating the 30th with you!
