The inaugural Allie Awards was held in 1991 to an audience of 185 event professionals from the Greater Atlanta area. The event was held during a broadcast of the annual Academy Awards, with Allie awards presented during commercial breaks. That year there were few categories. Over the course of the last 29 years, the Allie Awards has grown into the premiere recognition event for the live events industry – recognizing outstanding examples of quality work and creativity from event professionals throughout the State of Georgia and the Southeastern United States. This annual event demonstrates how working together for the common good of the industry promotes excellence in design, planning, and production. The Allie Awards program remains a model for industry award programs across the country.
Allie Awards Inc. is a Certified 501(c)(3) Public Charity supported by a volunteer Board of Directors. Proceeds from the annual event goes toward scholarships established for Georgia’s rising stars participating in collegiate level hospitality programs.

Live, in person events are finally beginning to come back, phones are ringing, and proposals are being written. We believe that it is our duty to set the example by showing our clients and the community at large, that as event professionals we know how to make this happen safely and efficiently. We can work within all guidelines set by the CDC and our local government to bring back events and support the industry we love.
The 2021 Allies will be a transition event to move us forward toward 2022 when we return to a full slate of revamped award categories that will be open to ALL 2020 and 2021 events.
As promised, all 2020 tickets will be honored for the 2021 event, but because of the restrictions placed on capacity we are offering three options for you to choose from for each ticket purchased:
Option A – attend in person, we will be requiring masks and seating will be spread out – our max capacity will be (150)
Option B – attend via our full “View From Home” package which will include an exclusive link to attend virtually*, dinner on us through Uber Eats and a special gift box mailed directly to you at your home (which means we will be asking you for your home mailing address).
Option C – receive the exclusive link to attend virtually but donate the value of the dinner and gift package to our educational scholarship fund.
*Unlike the August virtual event, this is still a ticketed event, therefore the links to attend virtually will be exclusive and not made available publicly.
As of right now the 2021 event is only open to 2020 ticket holders. Once all ticket holders have selected their package, we will determine if any additional Live tickets or View from Home packages will be made available. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for all event updates.
